Get directions to your school

We’re excited for you to join us next year! Start planning out your commute or find the best location for you and your child!

Our K-12 approach

We build key habits like preparation and following directions into the school day and our schools create joyful, structured environments so your child can focus on learning and discovering their passions.

Small group learning

Throughout the day, teachers group students based on their mastery of the subject in both reading and STEM lessons. This model ensures we can provide tutoring and collaborate to overcome any roadblocks or challenge our advanced learners.

TARGETED TEACHING

Academic achievement

By the end of the year, your child will develop a new learning routine and finish the year reading at a grade 5 level (or higher!). With strong critical thinking skills from daily science classes, your child will be ready to excel in middle school.

CURRICULUM

Parents as partners

This is the start of a 9-year relationship with one goal: your child’s success! Together, we will make sure they achieve exciting things. We’ll be in frequent communication (and always respond within 24 hours), but our favorite way to touch base is at arrival and dismissal.

MORNING MEETINGS

Learning readiness

We emphasize preparedness and timeliness because these skills are critical for success. Uniforms minimize distractions when preparing for the day and in the classroom, and arriving on time ensures your child is ready to unlock their full potential.

BUILDING LIFE SKILLS

STEM lessons three times a day!

Students do daily hands-on experiments, like building circuit testers, and learn an introduction to chemistry. During their two daily math periods, your child has the opportunity to learn math concepts and work in groups to better understand the material.

SCIENCE EVERY DAY!

Unparalleled in-school support

Each SA school has a team to handle operational tasks like ordering supplies, social-emotional specialists, and Sprint staff. These teams handle logistics and crucial services so our school leaders and teachers can focus on giving your child the best education.

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

After-school programs and electives

We consider our arts and athletics to be co-curricular rather than “extra,” because they contribute just as much foundation to building leadership, confidence, and creative expression as in-class instruction. Your child will have access to:

Art

Chess

Athletics

Music

Dance

Theater

Renee, Success Academy Grandparent

I’ve seen so much growth in Amiera. She’s a gifted student and her previous school was holding her back. In Success, she’s excelling. The lessons are taught differently.

Bianca, Success Academy Parent

Jack started in a DOE public school, but we decided to transfer over to Success Academy. I just wanted a better education for my son.

Kyle, Success Academy Parent

When we were in another school, my son's confidence was not up there. And then we came here and we’ve seen a big difference.

Edwin, Success Academy Parent

Success Academy, it is truly an oasis in public education in New York City.

Joy, Success Academy Parent

The entire school is thinking about the holistic child, not just the homeroom teacher. There's support in science and chess. That trumps anything that you can get in NYC’s Gifted & Talented.

Frequently asked questions

What is provided to SA families?

  • A school uniform
  • Monthly field trips
  • Breakfast, lunch, & snack
  • Art supplies
  • Sports equipment
  • Theater costumes
  • Musical instruments
  • Laptop & tablet

  • and more!

There is no need to send your scholar to school with supplies. SA offers ALL classroom supplies, art supplies, and any additional equipment they may need for programs.

Are uniforms required?

Yes. All Success Academy Scholars K-12, are required to wear the assigned uniform. As a new family, you are eligible for a free uniform kit for each accepted child.

For the free uniform kit code, go to the “Your Tasks Section” in the SA Family Portal in free uniform code. All uniforms will be purchased online at FrenchToast.com/SuccessAcademy, or you can call the customer service number 800.411.5844.

Note: This task is unique to you and can only be redeemed once

Do you offer after-school programs?

Yes! Students are offered the choice to join after-school extracurriculars, sports, and clubs that each meet two afternoons a week. We do not offer after-school programs five days a week, but we are happy to provide information about local programming.

What extracurriculars do you offer?

Success Academy schools offer a robust selection of electives that include art, sports, and, depending on the school, chess, dance, music, or theater.

We call these electives “co-curriculars” because they’re not "extra" — they are critical components of learning that add joy, build confidence, and foster a love of school.

Starting on the first day, your child will have the chance to rotate through each elective to find what interests them.

In middle school, scholars choose an elective class which they study five days a week for an hour each day. Additionally, they can choose to join competitive teams (chess, debate, soccer, and basketball) or visual or performing arts clubs.

Do you accept students with IEPs?

Yes! We are committed to serving all children with IEPs and offer an array of special education services and programs at our schools. We also work with the NYC Department of Education and external agencies to ensure speech, occupational, and physical therapists are available for our scholars with related service needs.

Do students have to apply for middle school if they are already enrolled in an SA elementary school?

No, you won’t need to apply for middle or high school — a critical and intentional aspect of our K-12 school model. Once you’re part of the Success Academy family, your child will have an incredible education all the way through high school.

In addition, during their fourth- and eighth-grade years, scholars will participate in a placement process to select their SA middle and high school, respectively.

Do you offer busing or any sort of transportation?

No, we do not offer busing to or from the school. This is to ensure a close partnership between you and your scholar’s school — our principals greet every parent and child at the door for daily face-to-face interactions.

If I enroll at Success Academy, do I have to reapply every year?

No. Once your child enrolls at Success Academy, they are guaranteed a seat through grade 12.

I am having an issue completing my registration.

Our Family Care team is ready to help you with any registration or back-to-school questions. Contact them at Families@successacademies.org or (646) 472-1911.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m.

Once you have a completed medical exam, you can upload a pdf version through MySAPortal.org or by emailing Families@successacademies.org with the document as a PDF attachment.

Where can I find my child's immunization record?

Your child's doctor's office can provide you with your child's immunization record. Or you can visit the NYC vaccine record site to download a copy.

Once you have the immunization record, you can upload your child's health form through MySAPortal.org or by emailing Families@successacademies.org with the document as a PDF attachment.
